Mask Necklaces
I will miss crafting once school starts. :(
I am a middle school AVID Excel ESL teacher. When I'm alone in my classroom, I plan to take off my mask and won't have a problem losing or misplacing my mask with this lanyard. In addition, this mask necklace will help your face mask avoid contacting with other surfaces and risk contamination.

Pan Dulce Children's Masks
¡Qué delicioso es el pan dulce!
Unfortunately, it's currently closed due to Covid-19 but you can visit their website to purchase a fabric face mask or call them for curbside delivery.
Each fabric mask is 2-ply cotton with a pocket, so you have the option to also use an insert for additional protection. It's only $10!!!
Here's a link to the online shop and a direct link to the "Ducle Sueños" children's face mask. While you're there, make sure to also look at the other super cool items they have available. Support local and handmade!

Vintage Mannequin Torso
My husband and I love antiquing!
Walking into an antique shop is like taking a trip down memory lane. Well...most of the items in an antique shop have been around for much longer than I've been alive but you get the point. :)
It's thrilling to treasure hunt. I never know what I'll discover. Even though my house is tiny, there's always room for another piece of mid-century furniture or lamp, the bookshelf has space for one more vintage book, the kitchen cabinets can hold additional plates and cups, and my jewelry collection has space to grow.
Now, due to my newfound devotion to sewing, I make a beeline to anything fabric and sewing notions. This vintage adjustable mannequin torso caught my husband's eye. It was hidden under a fur coat. Several days later, he took me to the antique shop and it was love at first sight. My mannequin has a new loving home where it will be treasured for many years to come.
ps....I also bought lots of vintage lace and fabric. :)

Fabric Face Masks with Pocket for Filter For Sale
Back during the Christmas break, I took out my brand new sewing machine from a closet at my parent's house. I bought this sewing machine 7 years ago and it was still brand new in it's box with tape, never opened!
I became the crazy shopper at Joann's buying sewing notions (thread, scissors, needles, fabric, dress patterns, etc.) without knowing how to sew. Thankfully, Joann's offers sewing classes...I eagerly signed up and I learned a little...enough to troubleshoot on my own. Who knew that several months later, we'd be in a pandemic and masks would be a requirement when out in public. So in March, I became an online 'distance learning' teacher by day and sewist in the evenings.
The face masks are handmade with 2 layers of the same cotton fabric. The pleated mask is about 9 inches in length by 7 inches in height after expansion, so it covers the nose and mouth. You choose of the mask with the elastic is 7 inches in length and be knotted to adjust size OR the ribbon is 36 inches in length, about 16 inches from each corner, ample length to tie behind the head. The mask has a pocket to allow for a filter insert. The masks are sewn from 100% cotton fabric, washable and reusable.
